Fellowship Values
We Value Unity, Fellowship, and Teamwork.
We are unified in mind and purpose by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We work together as a fellowship of believers becoming a team, united in love, to proclaim Jesus Christ to others. Unity doesn't just happen; we have to work at it. Through our shared fellowship we strengthen and encourage one another.
"I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought" (1 Corinthians 1:10).
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called" (Ephesians 4:3-4).
We Value Loving, Caring, Nurturing Relationships.
The Body of Christ, the church, is a loving, healing community. Thus, we deeply value the importance of healthy relationships, both with God and with one another. We are to care deeply for others and provide a safe haven for people who need unconditional acceptance. Therefore, we commit ourselves to one another in authentic relationships beyond Sunday morning. We are to exhibit genuine concern for one another and are committed to developing a climate of acceptance where all people can feel loved and accepted.
"Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than you. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 2:2-5).
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:34-35).
